Like any other parent of young children, Coldplay's Chris Martin is exposed to a lot of kids' entertainment -- but where many parents might just sigh and turn on the DVD player for the umpteenth viewing of 'Kung Fu Panda 2,' Martin has drawn on the animated hit for some heavy-duty life inspiration.

"The baddie sends an evil force right into Po's head, but the lesson he learns is how to turn that force around and send it back twice as strong," Martin explained during a recent interview. "It's a great way to deal with negativity. We are interested in turning negatives into positives."

Martin went on, "In life it's good to learn how to take negatives and turn them into positives." He then described the impact the film's message has had on Coldplay, saying, "Every time something like that happens to us, we just flip it around."

Concluded Martin, "It is a very good film."

Martin's wife Gwyneth Paltrow, who has starred in more than 40 movies of her own, was not reached for comment.
