Coldplay, Jay-Z Auctioning New Year’s Eve Concert Tickets to Benefit Sandy Hook Shooting Victims
Coldplay and Jay-Z are teaming up to auction off tickets to their joint New Year’s Eve concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., to raise money to benefit Newtown, Conn., the site off last week’s school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The winning bidder will receive four first-rate floor seats and special VIP entrance to the show, plus a meet-and-greet with the British band and the NYC rapper backstage after the show.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Newtown Youth & Family Services, a nonprofit mental-health clinic that has been providing emergency counseling for families, community members and staff involved in the Sandy Hook Elementary school tragedy. As of press time, the high bid was $5,250; the auction ends Dec. 22 at 2PM EST. Place your bids here.
