The annual Weenie Roast festival hosted by L.A.'s KROQ has been a summertime staple for nearly 20 years now, bringing some of rock's best and brightest to Irvine, Calif., for some fun in the sun. And this year's lineup is shaping up to be suitably star-studded, with a group of performers that includes Coldplay, Garbage and Silversun Pickups.

The 2012 Weenie Roast, scheduled for May 5 at Irvine's Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, will find Coldplay holding down the headliner slot along with Incubus, currently touring behind their first new album in five years. But they're far from alone on the bill -- festival attendees can also look forward to sets from Garbage, Angels & Airwaves, Pennywise, Offspring and Silversun Pickups, who will take the stage just three days before the release of their eagerly anticipated new album 'Neck of the Woods.'

Meanwhile, Garbage will also be out promoting new product -- their first album in seven years, 'Not Your Kind of People,' is scheduled for a May 15 release. It should all add up to plenty of new music for the folks in the audience -- and not the kind that sends people streaming for the beer stands.

Tickets go on sale Thursday (April 5) at 12PM PT (9AM ET), with first crack going to members of KROQ's "street team" mailing list. Better sign up now!
