Ask and they will come. And that's exactly what Coldplay did when they got 250 of their Australian fans to gather in the streets of Sydney on Monday to be part of their new video for 'A Sky Full of Stars.'

Chris Martin and the band strapped on their instruments and played for the people of Sydney, as the camera captured -- documentary style -- them walking through the streets like Pied Pipers.

By the end of the video, everyone's gathered in a square for a big party and to celebrate this impromptu performance, now documented for history.

"Thank you Sydney, that was amazing," the group tweeted this morning.

After filming the video, the band performed a show at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney.
