Courtney Love rose to fame in Hole on the strength of some highly autobiographical songs. Now, in a new interview, she’s claiming that other bands of the day have benefited from her association with her.

As reported by NME, Love appeared on a recent episode of the podcast of actress Anna Faris, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, where the subject eventually turned to SiriusXM’s station devoted to the ‘90s, Lithium. “I listen to Lithium, which is like all of the ‘90s songs and a lot of them are actually about me, which is interesting,.” she said. “There’s so many Smashing Pumpkins songs about me, there’s a Bush song about me.”

Before marrying Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, Love dated Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins. But, as Love said back in April, their relationship broke down in the summer of 1991 after Corgan refused to pay for a plane ticket back to the U.S. after a European tour. Shortly after that, she began dating Cobain, and they were married in February 1992. Now she’s saying that there were enough to practically create a playlist, and although she didn’t name them, she recalled an awkward conversation with an ex-boyfriend about her role as muse to the grunge era.

“I remember I used to date this movie star in the ‘90s and we were listening to KROQ,” she continued. “Of six songs in a row, five of them were about me. I told him that, and he was, ‘No, they aren’t!’ I was, ‘Yeah, they are. I dated every one of those guys, dude.’ He was like, ‘You’re such a slut!'”
