Crimes, ‘Something,’ – Free MP3 Download

Following the demise of their previous project, Static Radio NJ, Crimes are forging a new path.

Even before Static Radio’s final tour as a band, Crimes was already in its infancy, recording what would become the group’s self-titled debut EP. While both outfits draw from emo and hardcore influences, the Garden State trio is excited for what lies ahead.

Crimes’ EP dropped this past April via Black Numbers, and with it came ‘Something,’ a track we’re offering as today’s free MP3 download. In it, the band is unrelenting both musically and lyrically.

The guitar and drum work, coupled with singer-guitarist Mike Santostefano’s raspy howling, make us feel sorry for whoever crossed the band’s members and inspired this tune.

“There’s no grand story to it," Santostefano told Diffuser.fm. "It’s a goodbye, good-riddance-type song."
