Crucial Cut of the Month – March 2013

Every morning, Diffuser.fm gives away a free MP3, and being the omnivorous -- and ravenous -- listeners that we are, we aim for an eclectic mix of sounds and styles. One day, it's jittery avant-hip-hop; the next, it's strummy, folksy Americana. Ready for some synth-pop and hardcore punk? You'd better be. In any given month, there's a lot to like, and now, we're asking you to tell us what you like best. Introducing Crucial Cut of the Month, a monthly competition that allows you, the listener, to vote on your favorite free MP3 from the previous month and potentially help your favorite artist gain some much-deserved exposure.

Here's how it works: On the first of every month, we post a poll like the one below. Listed here is every song we gave away during March 2013. You have all of April to cast your ballots, and on May 1 -- when we unveil the next poll -- we'll announce the top vote-getter. What do they get? A warm fuzzy feeling, we suspect, but that's not all. Diffuser.fm will profile each Crucial Cut winner with a thoughtful Q&A feature, and throughout the month, we'll promote their music on our homepage and via social networks. We can't promise a major-label deal or anything, but these days, would you want one?
