The Cure have announced the upcoming release of their 14th studio album and promised a series of 'Trilogy' shows -- wherein they revisit three classic albums from front to back -- in late 2014.

The British legends recorded the new record, tentatively titled '4:14 Scream,' while  working on their last album, 2008's '4:13 Dream.' Few other details have surfaced, but the new album will apparently arrive in the next few months, and a live DVD is slated to accompany its release.

The third round of 'Trilogy' shows will reportedly take Robert Smith and co. around the world and feature the LPs 'The Top,' 'The Head On The Door' and 'Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me,' all played in their entirety.

In 2002, the Cure's inaugural 'Trilogy' shows brought full-album performances of 'Pornography,' 'Disintegration' and 'Bloodflowers,' while 2011's installments highlighted 'Three Imaginary Boys,' 'Seventeen Seconds' and 'Faith.'
