Daft Punk have been delivering funky robotic dance tunes for almost two decades now. But how much do you really know about the French duo under the helmets? Not much, actually.

But that's all about to change. Variety reports that French TV network Canal Plus has called on BBC Worldwide Production France to produce a one-hour documentary about the group, scheduled to air sometime next year.

Supposedly, the film will span the rise of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo from their formation in 1993 to their latest Grammy-hogging album, 2013's 'Random Access Memories.' And it will includes lots of stuff in between.

But will we finally get to see the faces behind the helmets? Nobody's talking yet, but it's a possibility. While we wait for more details about the doc, here's a little something to tide you over:
