According to Billboard, Danger Mouse (a.k.a. Brian Burton) will serve as the producer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ next album.

Details surrounding the project remain elusive, but the L.A. rockers shared a photo of frontman Anthony Kiedis in the studio, confirming work on their latest full-length is already underway. When it does arrive, the album will serve as a follow-up to 2011’s I’m With You.

Billboard also reports that Danger Mouse has signed a deal with Columbia Records to launch his own label, 30th Century. He’s also said to be producing Adele’s long-awaited third LP. Most recently, the producer has worked with the likes of A$AP Rocky, U2, the Black Keys, Broken Bells and Portugal. The Man.

Before he was back in the studio working on new RHCP material, drummer Chad Smith made a cameo at a recent Foo Fighters concert in New York City. Smith got behind the kit for a cover of Rod Stewart’s “Stay With Me,” while the Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins tackled the vocals.
