Singer-songwriter Kristeen Young made her network television debut on 'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson' last night, and it was quite an epic first appearance.

Her backing band on the song she performed, 'Pearl of a Girl,' included Dave Grohl and Pat Smear, two musicians we'd definitely pick for our backing band. You can watch the video above.

Grohl plays drums and guitar on Young's most recent album, 'The Knife Shift,' so it's not totally left field. Either way, the Foo Fighters frontman laid down some typically intense drumming during Young's performance of 'Pearl of a Girl.'

It's great to see Young finally get some attention for something other than pissing off Morrissey. She was opening the singer's U.S. tour before he canceled the whole thing and blamed her for getting him -- and other members of his band and crew -- sick last month.

Young denied Moz's allegations and said she was unceremoniously asked to leave the tour before the plug was pulled on it altogether.
