Seventy-five million Americans did not vote in 2008, and the Dave Matthews Band wants that to change for this fall's presidential election. As such, in honor of the first-ever National Voter Registration Day, which is happening today (Sept. 25), they have released a new version of their crowd-sourced 'Mercy' video.

The voting-themed clip includes a link to HeadCount.org's voter registration page and urges fans to take part in NVRD, which was established to simplify the act of registering to vote. One way it does that is by showing unregistered voters all the places they can register to vote within a 100-mile radius of where they live.

"This song and video captures the idea that individuals working together can make a difference," HeadCount.org Executive Director Andy Bernstein tells MTV News of the reworked DMB video. "That lies at the core of everything we believe."
