Record Store Day and David Bowie, together at last! A day after it emerged that Jack White will be the official ambassador of Record Store Day 2013, Bowie has announced that the first two singles from his forthcoming 'The Next Day' album will be available as a limited edition 7-inch vinyl record exclusively on RSD. 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight),' which is due out digitally next week, will be backed by Where Are We Now?'

And that's not it for Bowie's Record Store Day plans. He also issuing a 7-inch vinyl EP titled 'Bowie 1965! EP' featuring two singles that originally dropped in 1965, plus a 7-inch 'Drive-In Saturday' picture disc celebrating the 40th anniversary of the original's release.

Bowie shocked the rock world last month by revealing plans to release a new album, 'The Next Day,' in March. It will be the legend's first since 2003's 'Reality,' and over the last decade, many assumed he had retired from music. Bowie hinted at the impending arrival of 'The Stars' over the weekend.

Record Store Day, which falls on April 20 this year, is an annual event celebrating independent record stores, and it features an extensive offering of exclusive and rare releases intended to tempt shoppers to visit their local music outlets.
