Deadmau5 Announces Plan to ‘Unplug’

Deadmau5 has taken to his Tumblr to announce that he intends "to unplug for a wee bit" and "just chill the f--- out" some time in the near future, although he insists those plans will not result in the cancellation of any scheduled concerts or get in the way of him recording and releasing new music. And while the overall post was somewhat vague -- is he taking a break from performing live? social media? simply being in the public eye? -- it does seem express an overall need to take a step back from his hectic professional life.

So heres whats happening. im going to unplug for a wee bit. which doesnt mean im cancelling any upcoming shows or anything, im just gunna slam on the breaks for a bit and force myself to endure some quiet time. in that time, obviously the gears will still be moving, ill still be writing, and the releases will still come out (heads up for something crazy real soon like) and yeah.

All things considered, we're going to go out on a limb here and say that the multi-millionaire EDM artist is merely announcing a break from his vast social media network, which includes a Twitter account with more than 1.3 million followers and a Tumblr page he seems to update more often than he brushes his teeth.

If Deadmau5 is not canceling any gigs and plans to continue making music, he's obviously not taking a couple weeks off to go on vacation to Tahiti.
