Deadmau5 and Kat Von D Engaged After Twitter Proposal

Forget the news last month that Deadmau5 and Kat Von D had split up. Not only are the EDM DJ and tattoo artist together again, but the latest word is that they're engaged to be married after Deadmau5 popped the question via perhaps the most romantic and old-fashioned forum imaginable: Twitter.

"I can't wait for Christmas so.... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" Deadmau5 (aka Joel Zimmerman) wrote Saturday (Dec. 15) in a tweet that was accompanied by a picture of a diamond ring. Kat responded with a series of 15 exclamation points ("!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" was her actual tweet), which we assume was her way of accepting, because the Mau5 man soon followed the up with the big news: "holy f---ing s---. im engaged and stuff!"

Soon the happy couple was thanking friends and well-wishers with additional posts. "Mi corazon!!! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiancé!" Von D wrote in one tweet, which Deadmau5 followed with his own: "thanks for the well wishes and support from the horde and everyone else! brb while i spend the rest of my evening with my future wife."

Deadmau5 is an EDM DJ who earlier this year landed at No. 6 on the Forbes magazine Electronic Cash Kings list after raking in a reported $11.5 million in 12 months, while Kat Von D is tattoo artist who became famous after appearing on the TLC reality show, 'Miami Ink.' News of their relationship surfaced in September, after they reportedly met at a party, and while the couple did announce their breakup just over a month ago on -- you guessed it, via Twitter -- their split didn't seem particularly nasty. “I guess im not cut out for relationships right now, Deadmau5 wrote at the time. "No hard feelings.”
