There's almost nothing more enjoyable in rock than a cross-generational slapfight between musicians. And thanks to social media, it seems like we can't go a week without seeing somebody being called out for some transgression, real or imagined. The latest one involves Deadmau5 and Madonna.

During her performance at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami on Saturday (March 26), Madonna asked the crowd, 'How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?' Apparently, 'Molly' is current slang for the drug ecstacy. Ever the self-promoter, Madonna was presumably trying to draw the connection between MDMA, ecstacy's chemical name, and her new album, 'MDNA.'

The next day, Deadmau5, who wears a giant mouse head during his performances, took to his Facebook page to register his offense with the concept of Madonna advocating drug use in all sorts of grammatically incorrect ways.

very classy there madonna. "HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???" such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra. quite the f'n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! f------ cant smack my head hard enough right now.

Deadmau5, apparently unaware that without MDMA his entire genre would have died years before his career even began, continued his rant in other updates. While his outbursts contained too much profanity for our sensitive ears (and, our word, it nearly gave us a case of the vapors), we see no reason why we shouldn't link to his lengthy, but still profane, explanation on his Tumblr.
