Earlier this month, Death Cab for Cutie announced that the first single from their upcoming album, ‘Kintsugi,’ would be a cut called ‘Black Sun.’ Now, they’ve released a lyric video for the song – check it out above.

Even with the departure of founding member Chris Walla, Death Cab appear to be returning to their roots with the band’s signature melancholic sound in tow and introspective lyrics: “How could something so fair / Be so cruel / When this black sun / Revolved around you?”

The Ben Gibbard-fronted outfit has also announced a tour in support of ‘Kintsugi,’ which will kick off on April 10 in Mesa, Arizona. The Antlers will join Death Cab onstage for a handful of dates that run through April 23-May 12. Then, the Seattle indie rockers will play a show on July 12 at the Hollywood Bowl with the tUnE-yArDs.

‘Kintsugi’ will land on March 31 via Atlantic.
