Los Angeles-based Dekades are getting ready to unleash their self-titled EP on May 26, and today (May 12), Diffuser is beyond thrilled to partner with them to debut the brand-new track, "Funkado" -- take it for a spin (and crank it up) in the audio player below.

Whereas some bands share the stories or underlying themes behind their songs, Dekades remain tight-lipped. This silence is meant to serve "Funkado"; rather than creating any preconceived notions around the new track, the five-piece fully intends for the song to speak for itself:

Arden Fisher's beautifully powerful vocals are built on top of a heavy pulse manned by drummer Chris Cano and bassist James Carter; along with guitarist Josh Benson and multi-instrumentalist Matt Shores, "Funkado" is just one clear example of the cohesive groove Dekades are capable of generating.

Needless to say, we can't wait to get our hands on the new EP when it hits the streets later this month. You can stay up-to-date with everything happening in Dekades' world -- grab their tour itinerary and listen to their previous single, "The Drones Are Coming" -- at their official website;
