Depeche Mode are doing their part to try and ensure fans get the best possible seats for their upcoming North American tour.

Although the group hasn't announced any U.S. dates for the Global Spirit Tour yet — and they're booked in Europe through late July — they're thinking ahead to the next leg of their current trek, which comes in support of their upcoming Spirit LP, due March 17. In order to head off scalpers at the pass, they've opened what they're referring to as a "digital waiting room" where fans can get first dibs on tickets.

"Depeche Mode are coming back to North America," the band writes. "And this time, they’re doing something different. Before scalpers and bots, true fans would line up at the box office for days to get tickets. This is the same thing, but online. Claim your spot in line by signing up below, and the higher your spot, the better your access to tickets during the fan pre-sale. End up at the very front of the line for your city and you’ll be invited to meet the band before the show."

Vanyaland reports that heavy demand crashed the presale site after its Feb. 22 launch, but as of this writing, it's running normally; if you're interested in getting in line for tickets, fill out your information here.

While fans wait for more tour dates to be announced — and for Spirit to arrive in stores — they can whet their appetites with the record's recently released leadoff single, "Where's the Revolution." In another innovative move, the band is also allowing fans to run their Facebook page for a year.
