Diffuser Top 10: The Killers’ ‘Shot at the Night’ Slays the Competition

It looked like Eminem‘s 'Berzerk' was going to top this week’s Diffuser Top 10 video countdown, but just like last week, the '80s hip-hop tribute was beaten out in the last second. This time, it's Las Vegas synth-rockers the Killers taking out the Detroit rap icon. Last week's #1, MGMT's 'Cool Song No. 2,' dropped two slots to No. 3.

'Shot at the Night' -- this week's No. 1 video -- is the first single off 'Direct Hits,' the Killers' forthcoming greatest hits compilation and was produced by French shoegaze maestro Anthony Gonzalez aka M83. The cinematic clip for the track stars Bella Heathcote ('Not Fade Away') and Max Minghella ('The Social Network') and was directed by Roboshobo, who has also worked with Mastodon, Green Day and Alice in Chains, among others.
