Dior Versailles Commercial – What’s the Song?

A new ad for Dior filmed in the Palace of Versailles might be one of the most glamorous commercials we've ever seen, and its cool factor gets a boost from a well-known synth-pop song.

The track, of course, is Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy the Silence,' which provides the music for the stunning ad in which models Daria Strokus, Melissa Stasiuk and Xiao Wen Ju stroll around the grounds of the Chateau de Versailles while showing off the latest products from the French fashion company.

The girls are first shown inside the elegant palace, walking past ancients busts and sculptures while clutching the latest Dior bags. The marble columns and ornate chandeliers provide a regal backdrop that contrasts with the physical beauty of the women.

Outside, the models strut down endless staircases and through meticulously-pruned gardens. Majestic aerial shots are the final touch on the 60-second promo.

'Enjoy the Silence' reached No. 8 on the pop chart, making it Depeche Mode's biggest hit in the U.S. The accomplished alternative dance act continues to release new music. Their last effort, 'Sounds of the Universe,' hit No. 3 in 2009, and they're hard at work on their 13th album, which will come out in late 2012 or 2013.
