Dirty Projectors Play ‘Conan,’ Deliver ‘Offspring Are Blank’

Dirty Projectors continue their promotional push behind last year's 'Swing Lo Magellan,' and last night (Feb. 6), the band hit the 'Conan' stage to perform the album's opening track, 'Offspring Are Blank.' Bathed in dark, warm blue light, the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based outfit ran through the track in grand fashion, with singer David Longstreth's narrative and the backing band's typical "woo-woo" vocal harmonies eventually giving way to a raw, noisy closing guitar assault that's not as typical from the band.
