Boston natives the Dropkick Murphys have always been closely associated with their hometown, and the band has used that connection to help raise $65,000 for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings and their relatives. The Murphys raised the loot in less than 15 hours by selling a Beantown-themed t-shirt through the merchandise section of their website.

The shirt, which has been selling for between $24.95 and $26.95, depending on size, reads "For Boston" on the front and features a photo of the skyline, while the back includes the city's seal with the note, "Thank you, to all who purchased this shirt. All proceeds go to the victims and families of the Boston Marathon bombings. Love, Dropkick Murphys."

As per the online listing, 100 percent of all proceeds from the shirt will go directly to the victims and families of the Boston bombings. The tees will begin shipping the week of April 26, and a tweet from the band announcing the sale reported that orders have been rolling in from as far away as Ireland, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia.
