Following the debut of their new, over-the-top anthem, “Complexity,” and the corresponding sci-fi artwork, Eagles of Death Metal -- the brainchild of Jesse Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme -- have unveiled an equally absurd cover (see below) for their upcoming full-length, Zipper Down, which will arrive on Oct. 2 via T-Boy/UMe.

Zipper Down is Eagles of Death Metal’s first album since 2008’s Heart On. The 10-song track list leads off with the band’s newly minted “Complexity” and includes a cover of Duran Duran’s 1982 Rio single, “Save a Prayer.”

As if the Zipper Down album art weren’t enough of an elbow in the side, Homme had this to say about the LP in a press release (via Pitchfork):

The new album, ‘Zipper Down,’ really represents to me an attitude and philosophy of life. One should not zipper up, they should zipper down and let it all hang out... In an independent study, four out of three doctors said ‘Zipper Down’ is an eargasm trapped inside a crazerbeam. And I believe them.
