Live’s Ed Kowalczyk Announces ‘Throwing Copper Unplugged – 20th Anniversary Tour’

Reybee Productions

Back in 1994, it was hard to escape the sounds of Live and their ‘Throwing Copper’ album. ‘I Alone’ was a big radio hit for the band, helping the album sell well into the millions. Now, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, former Live frontman, Ed Kowalczyk, has announced the first leg of his ‘Throwing Copper Unplugged’ tour.

Waltzing in on the doors left open by the whole alternative rock big bang of the mid ’90s, Live struck a chord with record buyers. Though the band dissolved amid legal battles in 2007, Kowalczyk released a pair of solo albums in the past few years, and in 2011, Live reformed, but without Kowalczyk. Now, he is taking his own show on the road, hitting a dozen cities in the first stretch to commemorate this anniversary.

“Fans can expect to see and hear me like never before,” he said in a press release for the tour. “I’m so excited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of ‘Throwing Copper’ in this new unplugged production.” The tour kicks off in February with more dates to follow. More info and updates can be found on Kowalczyk website.
