Between January 2011 and October of the following year, Emily Jane White composed sketches for more than 100 songs. The California indie-folk songstress then decamped to a secluded Sonoma County studio, where she worked without distraction on what would become her fourth album, 'Blood / Lines,' due out Nov. 19 on Important Records. Earlier today, Stereogum premiered 'Keeley,' the forthcoming disc's excellent second single -- check it out below.

With its synths and strings and overarching melodramatic feel, 'Keeley' hits like the choicest of Zola Jesus cuts, or maybe a Kim Carnes/Bonnie Tyler '80s smash reimagined as smoldering goth-pop. Either way, it's great -- click here for more info.
