So, about that NSFW video the Flaming Lips posted earlier this week, and the risque shots featuring an unclothed Erykah Badu and her equally wardrobe-free sister: It turns out it shouldn't have been released after all -- and Badu hasn't been shy about letting everyone know how upset she is with Lips frontman Wayne Coyne.

Badu vented her frustration with a long tweet to Coyne, publicly calling him out for "desperately releasing a poor excuse for shock and nudity that sends a convoluted message that passes as art (to some)."

Referencing her own NSFW clip for her song 'Window Seat,' Badu drew a distinction between making a statement and simply being gratuitous: "Even with 'Window Seat' there was a method and thought process involved. I have not one need for publicity. I just love artistic dialogue. And just because an image is shocking does not make it art."

Badu has a long list of complaints about her whole experience with the Flaming Lips, from recording the track ('The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face') to the way Coyne conducted himself on the set of the video. "You obviously have a misconception of who I am artistically," she observed in her tweet. "I don't mind that but...by the way, you are an ass."

Speaking of asses, Badu later went on to encourage Coyne to kiss hers (and her sister's), prompting Coyne to issue a pair of, ahem, cheeky responses (and a photo of his glittery puckered lips). Something tells us we won't be hearing another collaboration between these two.
