There's something built into the sound of Sublime With Rome that triggers equal parts nostalgia and a sudden desire to move to California. Or Colorado.

While the band have a fanbase that stretches back to their earliest incarnation in the late '80s, Sublime With Rome (established in 2009) have cultivated their own audience with their 2011 debut Yours Truly (which reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200) and this year's Sirens, featuring a collaboration with Dirty Heads – who the band will embark on a concert cruise on the high seas called Light Up the Pacific next year.

During a break on tour, the band stopped by the headquarters of Jam in the Van – the world's first solar-powered "music discovery vehicle" in which bands like Portugal. the Man and Murder by Death have recorded performances. We've got Sublime With Rome playing "Skankin'" (aka "Skankin' to the Beat") which you can (possibly) see played in person at any of the band's upcoming shows.
