It's been 17 years since Faith No More released an album. And it's been 22 years since they topped the modern-rock chart with 'Midlife Crisis.' But they've been inching closer and closer to new music lately.

The band reunited five years ago and have been playing shows here and there. In May, singer Mike Patton wrote on Twitter, "The reunion thing was fun, but now it’s time to get a little creative” -- which most fans took as a sign of new music.

Last night during their show at Hyde Park in London, Faith No More played two brand-new songs, which a fan managed to shoot before being told to stop. It's not perfect, but it's the closest we've gotten to new Faith No More music in almost 20 years. Check it out:

In addition to teasing fans with new music back in May, Patton also was named the greatest singer of all time, based on his six-octave range. Hopefully he'll put every single one of those octaves to good use sometime real soon in the studio.
