Fastrack 2013 Commercials – What’s the Song?

India’s youth fashion brand Fastrack has unveiled its new line of sunglasses and clothing in a series of colorful, feelgood commercials (watch below). The ads feature Daft Punk’s hit single ‘Something About Us’ off of their 2001 album ‘Discovery.’

The tune was also used to promote Daft Punk's 2003 animated musical film ‘Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem,’ which served as a visual realization of ‘Discovery’ and told the story of a band being kidnapped and rescued. Additionally, the song landed at No. 93 on France’s SNEP chart.

The French duo have been busy readying the release of their forthcoming record ‘Random Access Memories,’ due out on May 21 via Columbia. The disc’s lead track, ‘Get Lucky,’ dropped earlier this month and features guest vocals by Pharrell Williams – click here to listen. Their new album also includes appearances by Animal Collective’s Panda Bear and the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas.
