In a recent b.b. gun session web exclusive for CBC Music, indie-folk crooner Father John Misty laid down a cover of one of our favorite Arcade Fire songs, "The Suburbs," and the results were -- not surprisingly -- pleasant. You can watch the singer-songwriter put his own gentle touches on the track in the clip above, and then compare it to Arcade Fire's original version below.

Father John Misty is notorious for his covers of some of the scene's greatest and most classic songs, including Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box", Cat Stevens' "Trouble," Johnny Cash's "Baby Easy Ride" and both "Bird on the Wire" and "I'm Your Man" by Leonard Cohen.

J. Tillman's latest album, I Love You, Honeybear, was released on Feb. 10 via Sub Pop. He just recently released a music video for its title track featuring actor and comedian Brett Gelman, which you can watch here. He will head back out on tour in support of the record beginning with a stint at the Pemberton Music Festival! in Canada starting July 16; stay up-to-date with his tour plans here.
