After being heckled by an audience member Thursday night (Oct. 3) at the Newmark Theatre in Portland, Ore., singer-songwriter Fiona Apple reportedly had an emotional breakdown and asked the offending fan to leave the venue.

According to Stereogum, 90 minutes into the 36-year-old's headlining set, the fan yelled out to the singer, “Fiona! Get healthy! We want to see you in 10 years!” After a few moments, Apple fired back, “I am healthy! Who the f--- do you think you are? I want you to get the f--- out of here. I want the house lights on so I watch you leave!”

After the house lights were turned on, the fan walked out, but not before screaming back at Apple: “I saw you 20 years ago and you were beautiful!” Once he was gone, Apple performed ‘Waltz (Better Than Fine)’ and “sobbed” throughout moments in the song. Once the song was over, the singer apologized to the rest of the crowd and the show was over.

Apple has a history with concert hecklers. This past September, at a fashion industry event in Tokyo, the critically acclaimed singer felt the crowd wasn’t paying attention and asked them to “shut the f--- up.” The Huffington Post also reported that Apple left the stage before her Tokyo performance ended.
