Soulful indie-popsters Fitz and the Tantrums made New Yorkers sweat earlier this week with an elevating performance at Roseland Ballroom. It was part of their ‘Bright Futures Tour,' and hip-shaking support came via California's Capital Cities, who got the audience moving early.

During the Tantrums' set, singer Noelle Scaggs stole the show with her sensuality and endless melodies. Her power and force are undeniable, though Fitz and the rest of the band are no slouches themselves. The crew had the crowd singing along to older favorites like ‘MoneyGrabber,’ ‘Don’t Gotta Work It Out’ and ‘L.O.V.’

Fans were also treated to tracks from the new album ‘More than Just a Dream,’ such as ‘Break the Walls,’ ‘Keepin’ Our Eyes Out,’ ‘Spark,’ ‘Out of My League’ and their latest single, ‘The Walker.’ They even offered up their version of the classic Eurhythmics tune ‘Sweet Dreams.'

Capital Cities didn't take on Annie Lennox, but they did turn in a memorable rendition of the Bee Gees' disco classic ‘Stayin’ Alive.' They ended with the remixed version of their hit ‘Safe and Sound,' spawning a massive dance party and justifying the name of this package tour. Click here to see where the groove caravan heads next.
