With only one album under his belt, 22-year-old Sam Smith has already seen more fame and success than some bands (unfortunately) see in their entire career. He stole the show at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, his debut LP, 'In the Lonely Hour,' peaked at No. 1 on the UK Albums chart and he made quite the splash with his recent phenomenal cover of Tracy Chapman's hit,'Fast Car.'

Now, the tables have turned.

In the same studio that Smith covered Chapman -- BBC's 'Live Lounge' -- FKA twigs (a.k.a. Tahliah Debrett Barnett), put her spin on Smith's single, 'Stay With Me.' You can watch her performance in the video above.

'Stay With Me' is already a hauntingly beautiful tune; accompanied by a piano and some powerful back-up singers, Smith's intoxicating voice shines bright. Slowing it down a bit and replacing conventional instruments with electronic beats, FKA twigs manages to add even more mystery and passion to the track. You can compare her cover with Smith's below:

Like Smith, FKA twigs released her first studio album, 'LP1,' this year -- and it peaked at No. 1 on the UK Indie Albums chart. Smith was born in London, the same city FKA twigs currently calls home. After seeing her cover of his tune, perhaps there is a chance for collaboration between the two artists in the near future? We can only hope.
