File this news from NME under "bloody good." Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, who some might call "eccentric" or "flat-out crazy,"  has asked for what's in the hearts -- literally -- of Bon Iver, Ke$ha and others, and in doing so has (metaphorically) taken a page out of Kiss' comic book.

"Six or seven" copies of the previously announced Record Store Day double LP, 'The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends,'  will feature the actual blood of its collaborators. "I don't have everybody's blood just yet, but I collected quite a few vials of blood and it's actually sitting in my refrigerator as we speak," said frontman Wayne Coyne. "I'm going to try to take that same concept and put little bits of everybody's blood in the middle of this record. Like a glass specimen thing."

This isn't the first time Coyne has used the red stuff -- in 2010, the singer printed posters using his own blood.

So far, Coyne has collected blood from Prefuse 73, Neon Indian and Ke$ha. The stunt's along the lines of the Kiss Super Special Comic Book, for which Gene Simmons and the gang flew up to Marvel's upstate New York printing factory to spill their veins. The legendary four-piece even had a notary public present to verify the crazy stunt.

It's on you, Wayne -- we're going to need to see some official documentation.
