Foals will return with their next album, What Went Down, on Aug. 28 via Warner Music Group. Get a taste of what’s to come by taking the lead single and title track for a spin below (via BBC Radio 1).

“I wanted to tap into my inner madman and feel like I was channeling some sort of fevered creature,” said frontman Yannis Philippakis in a press release.  He also described the title cut to NME, “It is one of the most savage and animalistic songs we’ve ever done,” he said. "When we play it in a room, it just feels predatory, it feels like we’re on a hunt or something.”

What Went Down -- which was produced by James Ford (Mumford and Sons, Haim) -- serves as a follow-up to Foals’ 2013 full-length, Holy Fire. Pre-order the album at the band’s website.
