Foo Fighters and Jack Johnson will soon perform separate concerts in support of Rock the Vote, the country's largest non-partisan voter registration organization.

Dave Grohl and his merry band of rockers will perform on Sept. 5 at the Fillmore in Charlotte, N.C. The show will coincide with the Democratic National Convention, which will be held that week in Charlotte.

The concerts are part of Rock the Vote's bus tour to universities all across America in the hopes of registering 1.5 million voters. The tour will begin in Saint Leo University in Tampa, Fla. -- the host city for the Republican National Convention -- on Aug. 28. At the final stop on Sept. 19 at Penn State. Johnson, along with G. Love and ALO, will perform. The complete list of cities of the road trip can be found at Rock the Vote's website.

The bus contains laptop kiosks that will help students register. They will also provide information needed about local voter ID laws -- a controversial topic these days -- and polling locations.

“By voting, the youth has the power to shape the world they want,” Johnson said. “If you like to rock and if you like having the right to vote, come out and help us Rock The Vote on Sept. 19.”

Tickets for the Foo Fighters show will go on sale Aug. 21 at 10AM ET.
