Since the release of their fourth studio album in 2013, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, Franz Ferdinand have been fairly quiet.

Until now.

According to London radio station XFM 104.9, Franz Ferdinand are “joining forces to form a supergroup” with Sparks, called FFS.

“After forming a mutual appreciation society ten years ago, Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand and American quirksters Sparks have just confirmed they’re forming a supergroup together,” the station reports. And not only that, but FFS have confirmed a gig at Festival Internacional de Bencassim in Spain (get their full tour schedule below).

In addition to the appearance at Bencassim, FFS will also be recording an album, produced by John Congleton, a Grammy-winning producer who has worked with the likes of St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, Heartless Bastards, David Byrne and Mini Mansions (just to name a few).
