Nearly one year ago, Baltimore-based indie outfit Future Islands graced the set of the Late Show With David Letterman with a stunning performance of their hit single, "Seasons (Waiting on You)." Last night (April 28), the band returned for an equally impressive performance of their newest track, "The Chase" -- check out the clip above.

Letterman introduced the band with as much hype as possible, complimenting them over and over, once again making sure to mention Samuel T. Herring's unique dance moves. The frontman dedicated the performance to the people of Baltimore in light of the current riots.

Herring was joined by Paul Shaffer and members of the CBS Orchestra on backup vocals for a dramatic finish. The episode marked one of Letterman's final broadcasts, with the host stating, "You guys are always welcome back. I might not be here, but you're always welcome."

The band has also officially released "The Chase" as a double A-side with another new single, "Haunted by You," which the band formerly premiered live in England -- listen to both tracks below.

You can currently purchase both tracks via iTunes, listen to them via Spotify and pre-order the 7", which will be available at retailers and through the 4AD store on June 30.
