The Avett Brothers effectively combine music and fashion in a new commercial for Gap's Fall 2012 'Icons Redefined' campaign, as brothers Scott and Seth perform their catchy new song, 'Live and Die,' while wearing the brand's apparel.

With Scott on the banjo and Seth on the acoustic guitar, the Avett Brothers showcase their combined talents along with charming personalities in the new Gap clothing ad, which can be viewed below.

'Live and Die' (which debuted back in June on NPR's website) is an upbeat track from the group's forthcoming full-length album, ‘The Carpenter,’ scheduled for a Sept. 11 release via Universal Republic. Along with giving fans a taste of what's to come with 'Live and Die,' the brothers also added to the hype surrounding their upcoming album by performing a brand-new tune entitled ‘Winter in My Heart’ at this year's Bonnaroo festival. They are currently on tour through North America to promote their new music.
