The new Garbage record won't be out until mid-May, but the band -- perhaps taking pity on long-suffering fans who have waited seven years for new music -- is treating us to a wealth of pre-release material, dropping the album's leadoff U.K. single just two weeks after giving American fans their first taste of the record with 'Blood for Poppies.'

The latest track to surface, 'Battle in Me,' is aimed at U.K. radio, but thanks to the magic of the Internet, anyone can hear it; in fact, you don't even have to leave this browser tab to have a listen. Just hit "play" below and bask in all the Garbage-y goodness.

The new Garbage album, 'Not Your Kind of People,' marks the band's debut for its self-run STUNVOLUME label, and we have to say, we like the way they're running their own affairs. Maybe they'll put out singles for all 11 tracks from the record before its scheduled May 14 release date. Fingers crossed!
