Last night (April 9), Gary Clark Jr. stopped by ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ to play a soulful rendition of the tune ‘Please Come Home.’ Before he launched into the song, the host showered him with praise as he fondly recalled his tribute to Buddy Guy at the 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C. last year. Letterman called the Austin-based guitarist's performance "a solitary, standalone piece of entertainment. You’re not going to find any better than the performance that night.”

Clark Jr. is set to perform at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Madison Square Garden this weekend (April 12-13). He’s also on the lineup for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Beale Street Music Festival, Sweetlife Festival, the Roots Picnic, Mountain Jam and Governor’s Ball.
