Yesterday, we reported that Jack White — always doing his best to live up to his reputation as an eccentric genius — will issue via his Third Man Records a new single by Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes, and that a limited number of vinyl copies will be pressed old medical X-rays. Now comes the chance to listen to one of the songs. Check out Haynes’ cover of the hardcore punk band’s Adrenalin O.D.’s ‘Paul’s Not Home’ below.

Three songs — this one and the originals ‘You Don’t Have To Be Smart’ and ‘Horse Named George’ — were recorded for the single, which is called ‘The Gibby Haynes Blues Series’ and features White on guitar. It will be released on Feb. 14, while those fancy X-ray singles will be available at the Third Man Records Rolling Store next month at the SXSW festival in Austin.
