‘Good Will Hunting’ Soundtrack, Feat. Elliott Smith, to Be Reissued On Vinyl
When director Gus Van Sant selected Elliott Smith to contribute to the soundtrack for his 1997 film, ‘Good Will Hunting,’ the decision would help push the singer-songwriter into a sudden and unexpected spotlight at that year’s Academy Awards. The movie -- starring Robin Williams and Matt Damon -- would go on to receive nine nominations, including one for Smith’s ‘Miss Misery.’ Now, in 2015, you’ll be able to grab the 18-year-old soundtrack on vinyl.
Capitol will release the soundtrack on vinyl on Feb. 3. Featuring the original track list, the album includes six songs from Smith: two versions of ‘Between the Bars,’ ‘Angeles,’ ‘No Name #3,’ ‘Say Yes’ and ‘Miss Misery.’ The soundtrack also offered music from the Waterboys, the Dandy Warhols and more.
You can pre-order the ‘Good Will Hunting’ soundtrack now on Amazon.
