With early-bird admission already sold out and regular tickets set to go on sale later today (Jan. 15), it made sense for the people behind Governor's Ball to release their lineup for the 2014. However, instead of resorting to the social networks, the New York City festival -- set to take place June 6-8 on Randall's Island -- made their announcement the old fashion way, with a full-page ad in the New York Times.

The big ad reveals that OutKast, Jack White and Vampire Weekend will headline this year's event. With everyone checking their Twitter and Instagram feeds for the past few days, news of the ad was spread with a screen shot by MySocialist.com.

Other acts include on the bill include Phoenix, Interpol, Blur's Damon Albarn, Neko Case, James Black, Grimes, Sleigh Bells, Jenny Lewis, Washed Out and Disclosure. Julian Casablancas has also signed on, and that means there's a possibility the Strokes will also make an appearance at the NYC festival.

OutKast, who just announced a huge reunion tour for this year and alluded to many festival dates, seem to be the mainstay headliner at this and many other summer fests. In addition to Coachella and Governors Ball, the Atlanta duo has also just announced appearances at Firefly, Hangout Fest, CounterPoint and Big Guava Festival.

Andre 3000 and Big Boi clearly weren't joking about riding the festival circuit. Stay tuned to their newly created Twitter feed to find out where else they're heading.
