Green Day have released "Still Breathing," the third pre-release track from their new Revolution Radio LP.

The new song, which you can stream while watching the lyric video embedded above, follows the release of the record's first single, "Bang Bang," and the title track. It's all part of the lead-up to the new LP, which is scheduled to arrive in stores Oct. 7.

"We're ready to rock," drummer Tré Cool told Entertainment Weekly. "We’re going into this record cycle with a lot of gratitude, a lot of humility. We just really do enjoy the s--- out of being in a rock & roll band with our best friends."

That camaraderie fed into the sessions in more than one way. As frontman Billie Joe Armstrong explained in a separate interview, the trio opted to record without an outside producer this time around because, as he put it, "This time I just wanted to feel the freedom of just depending on ourselves and getting in a room. There’s no in-between person and we’re forced to sort of be in there with each other."

"No one’s closer with [Billie] than [bassist Mike Dirnt] and I," Cool told EW. "[We were] trying to make the music and the voices in Billie’s head come to life. ... We didn’t tell anybody that we were recording, except our wives. We gave ourselves enough time and we weren’t watching the clock. [That] took the pressure off."

Prior to Revolution Radio's arrival, Green Day will begin a U.S. club tour — although it's starting a little later than planned, thanks to an "infection" that forced the band to postpone a handful of early dates.
