Grimes, ‘Genesis’ – New Video
Canadian dance artist Grimes feels right at home with snakes and swords in her self-directed music video for ‘Genesis.’ The 24-year-old hangs out with an edgy cast of characters, including a scary chick with three-foot-long pink hair extensions, white platform boots and some sort of metallic bodysuit.
You’ll have to use your imagination to fill in the gaps in the story when Grimes goes from sitting in the back of a car cradling a snake while her friends blow bubbles to heading out to the desert for a sword fight. ‘Genesis’ appears on Grimes’ third album, ‘Visions,’ which reached the Top 10 in the U.S. on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
