On Jan. 26, the Hidden Cameras return with 'AGE,' their first album since 2009, and today, Joel Gibb's Toronto indie-pop crew has unveiled the disc's second single, 'Year of the Spawn.' Give it a listen below.

'AGE deconstructs my musical roots,' Gibb has said of the new record, and 'Spawn' suggests the singer, songwriter and bandleader came of age listening to maudlin, string-laced indie bands.

That said, there's beauty in the new tune's rumbling piano chords and soaring violins, and when Gibb sings, "Running down the road," the whole thing grows legs, and the initially mopey jam wins you over with its second wind.

And stay tuned for the guttural screaming at the end.
