How to Dress Well (aka singer Tom Krell) teamed up with director Luke Gilford to make the video for '& It Was U,' the latest single off his critically acclaimed 2012 full-length 'Total Loss,' and the result is a bizarre clip that "explores spirituality and the supernatural" -- or something like that. The video focuses on a group of people awaiting their spiritual leader, who arrives in the form of a man wearing gold threads and riding a Segway.

"We talked about the very special character of the human soul in its unassailable tendency towards magic and inspiration," Krell says of his conversations with Gilford about the clip, which was inspired by the Todd Haynes-directed flick 'Safe.' "We talked about love and the supernatural within the everyday or mundane. Magic and beauty can exist anywhere, at any time."
