Hundred Waters Announce Free Three-Day Festival
Electro-indie quartet Hundred Waters have just announced the second installment of Form, a free three-day festival curated by the band and set to take place over Memorial Day weekend at Arcosanti, an "experimental town" located in the desert of Arizona.
This year's festival, a continuation of a likeminded event the band held last year to celebrate the release of its sophomore album, The Moon Rang Like a Bell, features appearances by the Antlers, Holly Herndon, How to Dress Well, Mas Ysa, TokiMonsta, Machinedrum, Julianna Barwick, Majical Cloudz and more.
In a most-unique attendance format, would-be audience members submit an application with answers to "a few simple questions." The filled-out applications are reviewed by the band and promoters, who then send out invites based on the creativity shown in the responses. "The more creative your response," reads an official statement from the band, "the better."

Curated by Hundred Waters, FORM includes three days of music programming from some of today's most left-field and exciting artists (full line-up below), art installations, hikes, cliff side pool parties and full access to the 25-acre community and the 4,000+ acres of preserve land that surrounds it. Just as Arcosanti was designed to explore how man can live in harmony with the natural world, FORM reconsiders the music and arts festival experience through a primary focus on place, environment and interaction. The free by-application admission is an experiment in itself - guaranteeing the crowd will be as curated and as interesting as the event itself.Hundred Waters state: "Festivals are usually fast paced and high stress for artists and attendees. We're lucky to spend a single day on site and even luckier to have a meaningful conversation with an artist we know or wish to know. With FORM, all of the artists and attendees stay on site together for the entire weekend. We eat together, dance together, share the whole experience together, and when it's time to part ways, we leave with a very distinct memory of a very distinct time and place. We let the place and the environment shape that experience. As visitors to this beautiful, highly intentional micro city of Arcosanti, our appreciation for every day things like infrastructure, sustenance and community are heightened without even realizing it. Every human interaction more meaningful. Every cup of coffee or tea more delicious with the underlying thought of what it took to get it into your hands. A more present state of consciousness. A place to cultivate ideas. If you're interested in coming, we ask that you answer a few simple questions. The more creative your response, the better. After receiving your submissions, we'll send out invites. Capacity is made limited to ensure the space is treated with care. If invited, just arrive and share a little piece of yourself with us as we will with you. See you in the desert :)
